Issue with Network Timeout Error Message

Earlier, some members may experience error message "Network Timeout" in their account. We have been trying to figure out the cause of this issue. However, it was deemed impossible to fix the problem because we cannot reproduce from our end.

With recent finding, we were able to reproduce the issue from our end and we found that it was from Kaspersky programs (The Antivirus and Internet Security System).

The Kaspersky program is injecting JavaScript code into JustSnipe page. Often times, the Kaspersky  coding has a bug and it causes error that stop rendering JustSnipe page which is causing the network timeout issue.

How to fix Network Timeout for Google Chrome

There are 2 methods to fix the Network Timeout issue for Google Chrome. Please try method 1 and if method 1 does not resolve the issue, then please scroll down and try method 2. 


Method 1: 


1. Click the 3 vertical dots to the top right of the internet browser.

2. Click More tools.

3. Click Extensions.

4. Enable Kaspersky Protection by clicking the "Toggle switch". When Kaspersky Protection is enabled the "Toggle switch" will turn blue as seen in the picture below:

Method 2:


1. Open Kaspersky Internet Security.

2. Click the "Settings" icon.

3. Click "Additional" in the left menu.

4. Click "Network".

5. In the "Traffic processing" section, uncheck the box that says
"Inject script into web traffic to interact with webpages" by clicking
on it.

6. When another window box appears, click on "Continue" button.

7. Click the "x" on the top right to close Kaspersky Internet Security.

8. Open Google Chrome.

9. Click the 3 vertical dots to the top right of the internet browser.

10. Click "More tools".

11. Click "Clear browsing data...".

9. Click the box to check mark "Cookies and other site date" and
"Cached images and files".

10. Click "Clear data" button.

How to fix Network Timeout for Firefox

Here are the instructions to fix the network timeout for Firefox:


1. Click the 3 horizontal lines to the top right of the internet browser.

2. Click Add-ons.

Issue with m.justsnipe.com

Between 2:00 AM - 5:00 AM of November 22, JustSnipe experienced problems with the following sites:

As of now, the issue has been resolved. The issue does not occur at our main site https://justsnipe.com. All snipes have been executed without any problem.

Problem Adding New Snipe

Between  04:00 - 08:00 (Pacific) of 2019-09-05, you may experience issue when trying to add new snipe with error stating that the item is in Buy-It-Now format when it is not.

The issue has now been fixed.

The problem did not affect snipe execution. Snipes that have been scheduled earlier are working as scheduled and being submitted to eBay. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Network Problem on Database Server

Between 19:00 - 19:30 (Pacific) of August 26, 2019, there were intermittent network problems that caused snipe to fail during that time.

  • Some snipes that ended during the above time may fail with error #8. 
  • Some customers may not be able to sign in. 
As of now, the issue has been resolved. However, we will keep an eye on the network connectivity and will report if the issue may occur again. We are sorry for the inconvenience that may have caused.

Emergency Server Maintenance on November 6, 2018

Update 07:00
The issue seems to occur sporadically after 01:30 to 06:45 and it causes some users to miss bids with Error #8.

The issue caused problems to "some" of the snipe during the time. We have fixed the issue. However, please use caution in the next 24 hours.

Between 01:15 - 01:30 (Pacific - UTC-8) of November 6, 2018, some of our servers experienced problems that caused "Server Error" and missing bids during the time period.

The issue has been resolved.

Network Timeout Error Message

Update:
Currently we have created a patch that will reduce "Network Timeout" error on page "Active", "Win", and "Didn't Win" page. 

The "Network Timeout" error may still occur in "JustWatch" page. 

With the patch that we installed, some features such as "Ship to country", "Seller feedback", and "Image size" may not displayed correctly.

We will be working on the permanent fix to restore all features back.
