Power Outage at the Datacenter

Starting from 20:45 of Friday 29 (Pacific), the main datacenter that we hosted experienced power outage due to severe storm in the area. As of now, engineers at the datacenter location are working to recover their system.

As a result of this outage, JustSnipe customers may have difficulties signing in to the their account. Some may not be able to setup new snipe, update, or delete snipes.

Despite this outage, our redundant servers are still working and sending snipes that have been scheduled earlier to eBay.

Hardware Upgrade

JustSnipe has scheduled a hardware upgrade to our servers on Thursday 12 April 2012 between 00:01 - 04:00 Pacific time zone. This upgrade is very crucial to the system performance.

During this time frame, you will not be able to access your JustSnipe account. All snipes will not be executed. Bids that have been scheduled will result in "Snipe Error".

Database Server Error

As of 03:30 of March 22, 2012, the issue has been contained.

During the outage, snipes scheduled between 23:30 (Mar 21) to 3:30 (Mar 22) were not executed. Customers would experienced snipe error message and snipes were not placed.

we are seeing eBay network problem. The issue happens sporadically throughout the day. Especially around 12:00 - 15:00 (Pacific), our system received an empty page from eBay when sending your bid to eBay servers.

Snipe System Problem

The issue affected a few number of users who had snipes during the time, the error message would show error #8 and bids were not executed. Engineers have been informed and they created a temporary workaround. eBay Time Lost Sync

During 0:45 - 7:00 August 12 2011, We notice that time on eBay servers seemed to lose sync with the atomic clock by going slower than normal 20-25 seconds. It causes some bids to be registered on eBay as if they are being placed 20-25 seconds instead of 5 seconds.

As of now, the issue seems to be corrected by itself.

Introducing JustSnipe Mobile Edition

JustSnipe is launching its "Mobile Edition" at

http://m.justsnipe.com/

The website is a mini version of the "full site". You will be able to "Add New Snipe", "View Current Auction", "View Completed Auction", and "View JustWatch Auction". Some features are removed to allow contents to be loaded faster.

Currently this mobile edition is in "Beta phase". There may be some bugs that we have not known of. If you encounter any issue while browsing our mobile site from any of mobile browser, please let us know the problem (please include your cell phone brand/type/model).
