What is eBay security token?

JustSnipe has upgraded its security measures by switching from eBay id/password to the eBay security token for a few years now. This new system enables JustSnipe to securely place snipe bids and better protect your JustSnipe/eBay account.

To utilize the eBay security token when you sign up for JustSnipe, there is a backend process that is required. The eBay security token's lifespan is determined by eBay's configuration, but typically it lasts from a few months to a few years.

As the expiration date of your eBay security token approaches, JustSnipe will alert you through your account to ensure that you can continue using our service without any disruptions. If the eBay security token is not renewed, it may prevent you from placing bids on our platform.

Visit the link below for instructions on how to re-new or re-authorize your eBay security token.

What are the limited features in your Free membership plan?

The "Free Membership" plan offered by JustSnipe provides users with a limited set of features. While the plan is free, it is subject to certain restrictions.

One of the main limitations is that free members are only allowed 5 snipe credits per week. Additionally, to support the cost of providing the free service, JustSnipe displays banner ads on some of its pages.

However, users who wish to take advantage of more features and benefits can consider upgrading to a paid membership plan. JustSnipe offers various membership plans that come with different levels of benefits, such as increased snipe credits, real-time price checks, and email notifications.

What is the bid amount that JustSnipe will be placing for me?

When you place a bid through JustSnipe, you enter your maximum bid amount, which is the highest amount that you are willing to pay for the item. JustSnipe's server will then submit your maximum bid amount to eBay at the last seconds of the auction, using eBay's proxy bidding system to ensure that your bid is competitive and that you have the best chance of winning the auction.

After your bid is submitted, eBay's proxy bidding system will automatically increase your bid up to your maximum amount in response to competing bids from other bidders. If there are no competing bids, you will win the auction at the current bid price, which may be less than your maximum bid amount.

Overall, JustSnipe allows you to place bids on eBay auctions with confidence, knowing that your bid will be submitted at the last seconds of the auction and that you will have the best chance of winning the auction at the lowest possible price.

How often does JustSnipe perform price checks?

JustSnipe performs price checks at different frequencies depending on the membership plan.

For the "Free membership" plan, the auction price updates on scheduled snipes every 6-12 hours, with no email notification.

On the other hand, for the "Value membership" plan, the auction price is updated every hour, and an email notification is sent if the snipe amount is lower than the current auction price.

However, it's worth noting that the price check doesn't mean the update will happen exactly on the hour. The update time depends on the queue the snipe is in, and JustSnipe does not provide real-time price check updates due to limited resources and to prevent eBay from blocking the site.

JustSnipe Lead Time Info

Adjust Your Lead Time for a More Successful Auction Sniper Experience with JustSnipe

JustSnipe is an auction sniper service that allows its paid members to customize their lead time, also known as buffer time, for a more efficient sniping strategy. By adjusting the bidding time, members can align it with their preferences and needs.

It is a common issue on eBay that many sellers choose to end their auctions at specific minutes of the hour such as :00, :15, :30, and :45, which puts a lot of pressure on eBay servers and can lead to missed snipes. However, JustSnipe's customizable lead time feature can reduce the chances of this happening.

It's worth noting that free members cannot make any adjustments to their lead time, and it is fixed at 8 seconds.

On the other hand, paid members can set their lead time down to 1 second!, but it's crucial to exercise caution when doing so. A lead time of less than 5 seconds can result in missed snipes due to slow response time on eBay and high network traffic.

With JustSnipe's adjustable lead time feature, members can optimize their bidding strategy and increase their chances of winning auctions.

Please note that the actual bidding time and lead time may vary slightly due to the internal logic of the program, which can result in a margin of error of +/- 2 seconds or more. The lead time provided is meant to serve as a reference point for our users and may not always reflect the exact timing of the bid.

To set default lead time, simply follow these easy steps:

  1. Log in to your JustSnipe account.

  2. Click on the setup icon (a gear icon) located on the top-right corner of the page. Alternatively, you can click on this link.
  3. Scroll down until you find the "Default Lead Time" pull-down menu choose the lead time according to your preference.

Why didn't I win the auction?

What happened to my earlier snipe that should have won, but did not.

If you have experienced a situation where you believe that your snipe should have won but did not, there are a few possible reasons for this outcome.

Firstly, it's essential to understand that eBay's bid increment rules may have affected your bid. eBay sets a minimum bid increment for each item, which determines the minimum amount that bids must be raised by. If your maximum bid did not meet the next minimum bid increment, your bid may not have been accepted, resulting in a "Bid too low" message.

eBay’s bid increment rules:

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/buy/bid-increments.html

Secondly, it's possible that you may have received an NPB (Non-Paying Bidder) warning or failed to make payment to eBay in the past, which could have led to your bid being rejected.

It's also worth noting that eBay's system is not perfect, and technical glitches can occur, leading to unexpected outcomes. However, these instances are rare, and eBay typically works hard to ensure that their system operates fairly and transparently.

If you believe that none of the above reasons apply, you may want to contact eBay customer support for more information and assistance in understanding why your snipe did not win. They may be able to provide more details about the outcome of your bid and offer guidance on how to avoid similar issues in the future.
